Come join us for a day of hands-on Engine Education from 6:30am-4pm. Participants will Fire Up Class J 611. Cab experience will include blowing the whistle.
Work alongside, Scott Lindsay, Chief Mechanical Officer, Cheri George, Fireman and a variety of crew members. Learn the Ins and Outs of Steam Engine Firing and Servicing. Participants will receive a bound copy of a Locomotive Firing manual from 1944. Space is limited.
• $150 per participant. Ages 14 and up.
• Full breakfast provided after firing the engine.
• Lunch on your own downtown or additional fee for local boxed lunch option.
• For safety, all participants must wear closed toed shoes and long pants.
